Summer Graduation 2008
No ceremony official graduation date is August 9,
2008.
Summer graduates are invited to participate in either the spring ceremony or the winter ceremony the semester prior to or immediately following graduation from CU-Boulder.
Applying for graduation
August graduates should inform their dean's office of their plans and check on the specific deadlines for applying for graduation. August graduates need to follow the same deadlines for applying for graduation as May or December degree candidates. A diploma card will need to be turned in to guarantee receipt of graduation information and program listing. Graduate students will need to file according to the Graduate School deadlines.
Recognition of graduates
The names of the August graduating students will be included in a combined list in the program, and all graduating students will be recognized as a combined group during the conferral of degrees for each school and college. August graduates will be included in all college/school recognition ceremonies and receptions. The colleges/schools determine the program content of these events.
August doctoral and law candidates will be hooded during the individual departmental ceremonies in the spring. August doctoral and law graduates will be hooded and individually recognized at the university's winter commencement ceremony in a combined group along with the other doctoral and law candidates.
