Jeanette Musselwhite is a doctoral student in the discourse and society concentration and a teaching assistant. Her research interests include communication activism, critical pedagogy, civic participation and social movement rhetoric with a focus on social media and popular culture. Of particular interest to her is how activist groups frame messages while developing partnerships to effect social change. She earned her BA and MA in communication studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
