We’re glad you’re interested in the exciting new College of Media, Communication and Information (CMCI) at CU-Boulder.
You’ll be taking courses that challenge you, inspire your creativity and prepare you for an exciting future. Outside the classroom, there’s always a friendly and inclusive community of people who share your interests—and the beauty and cultural offerings of Boulder.
Perhaps you’d like to join a residential academic program where you can live and take a class with other students in your major. We also have advertising clubs and student-run media outlets where you can boost your skills and network, as well as honor societies to stimulate your academic growth and build your resume.
On any given day at CU-Boulder, we’re likely to be visited by people who are famous in their fields, and fascinating to listen to. The campus regularly hosts visits by Academy Award-winning documentary directors, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists and outstanding scholars from all walks of life.
Both in and outside the classroom, the CMCI has a strong focus on learning by doing. You’ll find quick, intense classes called “boot camps” where you can delve into subjects you enjoy. And when the time comes to test what you’ve learned in the real world, we offer resume reviews, workshops, career fairs and mock interviews to prepare you for internships that will be a highlight of your college career.
Your experience with friends, fellow students and faculty at CMCI will pave the way for your future career.
