How to Apply

Ancient RoadMost of the application procedures are spelled out in the graduate school's paper or on-line application, but please note the following:
  1. If you want us to consider you for financial support, the application deadline is January 2. Otherwise the deadline is April 1.
  2. We require three, not four, letters of recommendation.
  3. We require a writing sample, preferably on a classical subject, the more interesting, substantial, and well-written the better.
  4. We require scores only from the standard GRE.
All parts of your application, transcripts, supporting credentials, and correspondence in reference to your application should be sent directly to:
