The EM facilities here at CU-Boulder are top-notch.  Currently, we have 2 Tecnai FEG electron microscopes—an F30 and F20—which are housed in a 3000 sq. ft. laboratory that also includes two Philips CM10 microscopes.  Related equipment in the EM lab includes two vitrification robots for cryo-EM sample preparation, 4 cryo-holders, an optical bench, darkroom, and other standard EM equipment.  The EM laboratory is located in the basement of the Porter Biosciences building, which is a short walk from the Taatjes lab.
