There are a couple programs
to choose from within RasMol all of which are very useful. The original RasMol manual was created by Roger Sayle, and version
2.7 is the most recent version that has been made available.

Instructions:
1. Create a folder or determine under which folder on your
hard drive (c drive) to place the program.
2. Access the web page where downloading is possible :
RasMol Downloading
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “RasWin.exe”
next to the Windows heading.
5. You will be given the prompt to save the program to a
disk, and click “OK”
6. You are now able to choose the file to which you want to
save program. You will want to save the program under the file that you had
decided upon under step 1. Press
“SAVE,” it will take a short time to save the program but it is now on your
computer.
7. The help files are not saved automatically, and must be
downloaded separately. Click on the “rasmol.hlp” which is in the right margin
on the same line the program was at. Again you will need to save this to your
hard drive and it is should be saved under the same folder. Next click on the
“raswin.hlp” and save the file under the same folder.
