Career Opportunities in Bioinformatics

Below are search engines for searching for scientific employment. Some are good and some are bad.

http://www.bio.com/ --    We found this to be the best search engine for scientific job postings and background on a number of companies.   Also a good site for bio news and events, research and education info.  Information on government and organizations and products on the market or in clinical trials.

http://www.biopharmmed.com/ -- Also a good site for job search.  Many of the listed jobs give an estimated salary and requirements in an easy to read format.  There is also a place to post your resume.

http://www.biospace.com/ -- Bio news, career info, investors info, clinical development information, articles, and a link to Celera’s Genome News Network!

http://www.monster.com/  --  Monster.com job search.  Good site for posting your resume and searching for jobs!  You post your resume the way you want it formatted and set up a job search agent.  The agent will look for jobs with the criteria you enter and post them in a listing for you to look at.  You do have to sign up to use these features, but it’s free!
