Green Chemistry: A Guide to Practical Application and Tie to the Future

A talk by Jeffrey Whitford

Head of Corporate Responsibility at MilliporeSigma

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5th 12pm-1pm

UMC 289 (Aspen Rooms)

Working with scientist on green chemistry is a new experiment. Sustainability and green chemistry are typically secondary or not even on the radar in terms of consideration when conducting research. How do we change the dynamic to engage scientist to encourage them to consider the impact of their research and then make alterations and realize the innovation opportunity that is present in this approach. We believe the answer is information and awareness. In this talk we'll share the platform MilliporeSigma has developed to engage scientist globally on the topic of Green Chemistry and arming scientist with data to make better decisions and why we think that Green Chemistry is a key success factor for the future.
