1904 Society

1904 Society logoThe 1904 Society is being founded by alumni like YOU. The Society takes its name from the anniversary of the initial launch of the Chemical Engineering degree, which dates back 110 years. Since then, that degree has evolved into the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, a boundary-pushing department whose alumni rank amongst the most exceptional and influential chemical and biological engineers in the country — and even the world. You are an invaluable member of that illustrious group of alumni!

The 1904 Society honors extraordinary people who include the department in their philanthropic priorities. The Society’s mission is to promote the interests of the CU-Boulder ChBE community of students, alumni, faculty, and staff by supporting the department in its efforts to:

  • Forge deep and enduring connections between members of the ChBE community
  • Recruit, recognize, and retain outstanding students, faculty and staff
  • Provide and maintain world-class facilities for training and research

Membership in the 1904 Society is attainable at many levels.

No matter where you are in your professional or philanthropic journey, becoming a part of the 1904 Society is a practical way to support the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering in pursuing groundbreaking reseach and equipping the engineers of tomorrow. And, don’t forget that many companies match the philanthropic gifts of their employees.
