Carrie Ngai

We are excited to welcome Undergraduate Advisor Carrie Ngai to the department. In her new role, Ngai will provide academic advising alongside Dr. Deb Renshaw while also working with industry and alumni to develop student opportunities.

Ngai earned her BA in International Studies at the University of Wyoming. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Arizona and realized her passion for working in the university setting. She earned her MEd in Higher and Postsecondary Education at Arizona State University, where she also worked advising international students and processing immigration paperwork.

Having always wanted to live in Colorado, Ngai was excited when her husband accepted a position in Boulder. After moving, she worked on a grant at Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she provided academic advising for Engineering Technology students and set up an Industry Advisory Board for the grant program.

“I am thrilled to continue working closely with students and helping provide them with opportunities for success,” she said of her move to CU.

Ngai is enjoying life in Colorado where she has started running (with and without her dog), camping, gardening, snowboarding and gaming.
