In the 2015 US News & World Report rankings published this week, the Chemical & Biological Engineering undergraduate program at CU Boulder is ranked 18th overall and 12th among public institutions. ChBE is the only undergraduate chemical engineering program in the Mountain Time Zone to make the list.

Undergraduate program rankings are based on a survey of primarily engineering college deans. Deans are asked to rank the top 10 programs and only programs mentioned at least seven times are included. This is the first time the ChBE undergraduate program has made this exclusive list.

Considering the Engineering College as a whole, CU Boulder’s undergraduate engineering program comes in at 20th among public institutions whose highest degree is a doctorate and 36th overall. With respect to the entire campus, CU Boulder is ranked 38th among top public national universities and 88th among all public, private and for-profit universities in the country.

This new ranking of our undergraduate program comes on the heels of the improved ranking of our graduate program that we received last Spring, when we moved up to the 14th position. While undergraduate program and overall college rankings are released in the fall, new graduate program rankings are released each spring.
