Robert Elder Wins AIChE CoMSEF Graduate Student Award

November 8, 2013

Robert Elder

Graduate student Robert Elder received a 2013 AIChE Computational Molecular Science and Engineering Forum (CoMSEF) annual Graduate Student Award.

The award, which is given to only two students each year, recognizes significant contributions to research in computational molecular science and engineering by graduate students. Nominations are evaluated by a committee composed of CoMSEF officers based on the student’s CV, the nomination letter from the advisor, the quality of the poster presented at the CoMSEF Poster session, and the student’s ability to describe the poster work.

Elder received this recognition for his doctoral research with Professor Arthi Jayaraman on molecular simulation studies of structure and thermodynamics in nucleic acid systems.
