Liz Eckstein

We are thrilled to welcome new ChBE office manager Liz Eckstein, an operations professional with more than 15 years of experience in the field. Liz most recently spent five years as the finance manager for the Colorado Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, a one million-member global environmental organization.  Prior to moving to sunny Colorado, she worked for 11 years at Washington City Paper (WCP), Washington D.C.’s premier alternative newsweekly.  Her roles at WCP included Operations Manager, Project Manager, and Office Manager.

Liz received a BA in philosophy from Johns Hopkins University and completed graduate coursework in philosophy of health and nutrition at the University of Maryland.  She also received an associate of arts in professional cooking from the Baltimore International College and ran a vegetarian catering company for several years.

An avid runner, Liz was captain of her Johns Hopkins cross country and track teams and has since completed many races up to and including marathon distances. She completed the Santa Barbara Half-Marathon last month, though the Bolder Boulder 10K remains her favorite race!
