Chancellor's Veterans Day Message Veterans Day is a solemn opportunity to honor all veterans who have served our Nation in war and in peace. The veterans who work for and/or receive their education from the University of Colorado have earned this special day and we greatly appreciate their contributions and sacrifices and recognize them as valued members of our campus community. We are also grateful for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation and ideals that it represents—they have earned our enduring admiration and appreciation! Many of the freedoms we enjoy today, both as Americans and as members of the CU-Boulder community, were won and protected by those that have answered the call to duty and who have served in our nation's armed forces. All too often we take their contributions and sacrifices for granted, but not on this day. We humbly thank our all of our veterans and those currently serving in the United States armed forces for their lasting gift to all of us. |
