NCA Self Study Committee Meeting

GENERAL BUSINESS

Talked about list of possible sessions brainstormed by Committee previously for team visit. Suggestions included:

• Summer school
• Distance Education
• Chancellor, Phil and Bill (Mon. am)
• Self-Study Committee (Mon. am)
• Regents Steinhauer and Kirk
• Representatives from the President¹s Office
• Outcomes Assessment
• Distinguished professors (President¹s Teaching Scholars with students about teaching?)
• Representatives from the 3 task forces
• UCSU
• Housing
• Social science, professional schools, arts & humanities, natural science
• Centers & Institutes
• Graduate Student group
• Student Affairs
• IT
• Chancellor¹s Vice Chancellors group
• Staff
• Research administration & technology transfer
• Foundation
• Alumni Association
• Parents¹ Association, Chancellor¹s Advisory Committee

Bill will circulate the list to Phil and Committee, then to Dr. Walker.

Ric suggested providing constant refreshments in 302 for team members, possibly lunches for any who would not have other lunch arrangements.

He also suggested hiring a couple students to be available to escort team members to and from meetings around campus.

Next Committee meeting will be Tuesday, February 29, 2-3pm in Regent 302.
