NCA Self Study Committee Meeting
Tuesday, February 29, 2000
Regent 302, 2:00 - 3:00 PM
Present: P. Hale, B. Kaempfer, T. Lyons, P. Moore, D. Pinkow, L. McClelland, J. Delaney, M. Swadener

GENERAL BUSINESS

BK:

  • Distributed copies of final print document to committee members.
  • Bill received a comment card from Publications. Committee members thought Pauline would be the best person to respond since she worked most closely with them.
  • Announced that Dr. James Moeser, Chancellor @ University of Nebraska Lincoln, will be the CEO on the evaluation team.
  • Reviewed complete list of team members.
  • Reported that he spoke at the Council of Deans meeting this morning and handed out copies of the print document. Heıll update chairs at the Friday chairsı breakfast.
  • Reviewed with the Committee recent communication from NCA to Chancellor Byyny.
  • Reviewed suggested list of people and groups to meet with team. Suggestions for changes included adding advising and libraries sessions; people for assessment session; including Legislative Council heads with the Tri-Execs; adding HR including benefits in a session.

Committee suggested sending an electronic reminder about sessions with team members to participants about a week before the visit.

Pat will check availability of Music, Clark, and Business Deanıs Conference Rooms for possible meeting sites. We have reserved Regent 302 for the full three days, and have some time in each Presidentıs Conference Room, PBA Conference Room, and Regent 195.

Jean thanked Pauline for her hard work on the final document. Other Committee members thanked her as well.

PH:

  • Handed out copies of website main pages and asked Committee members to review the website for accuracy.

Next step: send list of possible meetings to Dr. Walker for his review. Have a final schedule done by Spring Break.

Next week: organize sessions; brainstorm who should be campus reps during sessions. Pat will update list of possible sessions and circulate for suggestions.

Next NCA meeting will be Tuesday, March 7 from 2-3pm in Regent 302.
