Accreditation History

The last NCA evaluation of the University of Colorado at Boulder occurred in November 1989, resulting in the evaluating team’s recommendation for continued accreditation of the Boulder campus as a whole. The team’s report in 1989 included four "areas of concern" and six "suggestions" intended to "assist university personnel in the prosecution of their tasks." Boulder campus responses are provided in Responses to 1989 NCA Review.

Accreditation by specialty bodies is another means by which certain individual CU-Boulder programs are reviewed for appropriateness and achievement.
