The campus should
consider ways of promoting more consistent use of a broad range
of assessment tools by all units, such as including consideration
of assessment outcomes more consistently in the budgeting process.

Issues related
to the research mission and support, graduate enrollment, and the
recruitment and retention of faculty are being addressed through
the work of three task forces recently appointed by the vice chancellor
for academic affairs.

The campus has
committed to a new strategic plan for its outreach activities, designed
to help coordinate and enhance the programs offered.

Identifying private
support for increasing high-quality space for research and other
activities is a priority of the Total Learning Environment fundraising
campaign.
