But the Boulder campus possesses a number of truly distinctive qualities that set it apart from other institutions and lay the foundation for continued excellence. Successful record in research and scholarship. The Boulder campus has established a leadership role in the quality and quantity of research and scholarship accomplished by its community of scholars. Aided by an enterprising faculty, the campus has attained remarkable achievements in sponsored research. Interdisciplinary approach to learning. Over a period of decades, CU-Boulder has engaged in interdisciplinary approaches to teaching, research, and service. A system of institutes and centers has promoted the cross-fertilization of ideas from a wide range of academic fields. Innovations in learning.
