In October, our fellows made the trek up Niwot Ridge to the CU Mountain Research Station located near Nederland, Colo. Led by Dr. Rory Cowie, the fellows learned about research projects like tundra heating and atmospheric monitoring. At the Tundra Lab, they took in sweeping vistas of the Indian Peaks Wilderness, and even shared some chocolate chip cookies at 11,300 feet.
