Terra Mazzeo is a licensed architect currently working for the Denver office of Stantec (formerly RNL Design). She has practiced extensively in both Denver and New York. Her design experience spans many scales and typologies, including urban design, hospitality, commercial office and urban mixed use. She is both a designer and leader of design processes. She works to connect her work to its specific context and culture through rigorous research and investigations of function, technology, tectonics, sustainability and social potential. Mazzeo hopes to contribute to the creative densification of her hometown of Denver; with this interest she founded AlleyFlats, LLC, which is bringing prefabricated accessory dwelling units to Denver through turnkey delivery. The company will provide financing, design, permitting and construction to homeowners in Denver (and beyond). Mazzeo currently serves on the Commons Design Review Board, the ULI Colorado Building Healthy Places Committee, and the Housing Committee of the American Institute of Architects.
