Directions

Denver to the University of Colorado, Engineering Center

  1. Get on Interstate 25 North and head north. Depending on where you are in Denver, you may want to go directly to I-25 or you may want to take Interstate 70 to I-25.
  2. Take the Boulder Turnpike (Route 36) West. It is a two-lane, left-hand exit from I-25. The exit takes you to the beginning of the Boulder Turnpike, on which you will actually be heading northwest.
  3. Stay on the Boulder Turnpike all the way to Boulder. You will pass the towns of Westminster, Broomfield, Louisville, Superior, etc. After cresting the last hill and a scenic overlook, you will see Boulder spread out below the steep ridges to the west (the Flatirons).
  4. As the Boulder Turnpike enters Boulder, you will pass exits for Table Mesa Road, Foothills Parkway, and Baseline Road. After the Baseline Rd. exit, Rt. 36 turns into 28th Street, a city street.
  5. At the first traffic light (since Denver!), turn left onto Colorado Avenue. You'll now be heading west toward the mountains.
  6. At the first traffic light on Colorado (just a few hundred feet), turn left onto Regent Drive. You'll now be heading south.
  7. After getting on Regent Drive, turn left into the second parking lot entrance. You'll pass a big parking garage and the CU Police Station on your left and the Engineering Center on your right.
  8. Park in the pay spots to the right after you enter the lot entrance.

On Foot (see campus map):

  1. Walk north on Regent Drive past the Police Station and cross over Regent Drive at the crosswalk near the first parking lot.
  2. Walk west (toward the mountains) under the Engineering Center, past the bike racks and the fountains, all the way to the elevator.
  3. Take the elevator to the fifth floor, exit, and turn left. Go down the hall to my office, OT517 ("OT" is for "office tower," "5" is the fifth floor). My phone number is 303 492 0772 if you can't find it.
