The College of Engineering and the Department of Civil Engineering offer a number of funding opportunities for graduate students, including fellowships and assistantships.

Fellowships - University of Colorado at Boulder fellowships are awarded to entering and continuing regular degree-seeking graduate students on the basis of academic promise or academic success. Exceptional students will be nominated by the Construction Engineering and Management (CEM) program on the strength of their application.

Teaching and Research Assistantships (TA/RA) – The CEM program generally awards teaching or research assistantships each year which provide a salary and a tuition waiver based on the percentage of time of the appointment and a partial insurance benefit.

The majority of fellowships and assistantships are awarded during March for the academic year beginning in the fall semester. If you are interested in applying for an assistantship, please fill out the TA/RA application form provided on the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering web site and include it with your application.

Applicants who wish to be considered for fellowships or assistantships must submit their application materials by January 15. All other applicants must submit their applications to our department by March 1 for Fall admittance and October 31 for Spring admittance. For more information on deadlines, visit the CEAE Department Web Page.
