Mission Statement

The mission of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering is the education of undergraduate students to become leaders in the professional practice of engineering, contributing to technological advances that benefit humankind while enhancing the earth's physical and biological resources.

Academic Programs

The department offers Bachelor of Science degrees in: 

  • Architectural engineering with concentrations in:
    • Construction engineering and management
    • Electrical/lighting engineering
    • Mechanical engineering
    • Structural engineering
  • Civil engineering with concentrations in:
    • Construction engineering and management
    • Environmental engineering
    • Geotechnical engineering
    • Structural engineering
    • Water resource engineering
  • Environmental engineering: A Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering is offered through the Environmental Engineering Program

All three programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
