Courses include jazz theory and aural foundations, improvisation, history of jazz, scoring and arranging, jazz piano, jazz techniques for the music educator, jazz combo, and jazz ensemble.

Certificate in Music Technology +

The certificate in music technology provides students with an opportunity to study music technology in greater depth than music degrees currently allow. This certificate program requires 18 credit hours, including five music technology courses, an interdisciplinary performance course, and an independent project (a composition, performance, or research project) under the supervision of a member of the Music Technology faculty.
