MATH 2380 (3). Mathematics for the Environment.
An interdisciplinary course where analysis of real phenomena such as acid rain, population growth, and road-killed rabbits in Nevada leads to consideration of various fundamental concepts in mathematics. One-third of the course consists of individual projects chosen by students. Prereq., proficiency in high school mathematics. Credit not granted for this course and QRMS 2380. Approved for arts and sciences core curriculum: quantitative reasoning and mathematical skills. Available: Spring 2009 Fall 2009
