Dr. Lobsang Sangay is chief executive of the Central Tibetan Administration, often called the Tibetan government in exile. Democratically elected in 2011 and re-elected in 2016, he is a legal scholar who advocates the Middle Way approach for China-Tibet relations. He will be speaking on the Tibet movement’s relationship to China, as well as Tibetan governance in the context of changing geopolitics, such as the recent Doklam border dispute and the Nepali government’s changing treatment of Tibetans within its borders. There will be ample opportunity for dialogue and discussion with the audience.
