Developing the business part of your brain, teamwork, getting to know your new classmates by working on fun challenges together – outdoors under the flatirons, and with a combination of laughs, inspiration, and accomplishment. That’s Leeds’ special prequel for your undergraduate experience. It’s called CoLab : Essentials of Collaboration and Innovation.
CoLab is required of all incoming first-year students. The program begins at Macky Auditorium where students will be broken into teams for the day’s activities. During the program you will be working with upper classmen, alumni and corporate mentors.
Through team-based problem-solving and structured activities, students get insights about how to be a top performer in business (and in school). The CoLab approach is used by top companies and MBA programs around the world, is proven effective for people of all ages, and is valued by corporate executives. Leeds students are among the very few who get this kind of experience at the undergraduate level, which gives you a leg up on the competition.
We will share details of the day with you upon arrival. Much of the program will involve real-time challenges you’ll work on with your classmates -- therefore, we can't give away too many details up front!
Students should come dressed in appropriate clothes for an all day outdoor activity– we require that you wear gym shoes and athletic wear. Please bring a water bottle!
Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and water will be provided.
