Career Advising

Leeds has dedicated Career Advisors to help business students in all areas of emphasis. Leeds students can make appointments for help with their resume or cover letter, general career guidance, interview preparation or for assistance in their job or internship search. Please read more below about scheduling an appointment.

Make an Appointment

Leeds Career Development career advisors are only available to students that are Leeds business majors, not business minors. If you are not a student in the Leeds School please go to Get Help at Career Services to make an appointment with a non-business advisor.

First-Time Appointments (all emphases/class levels) - Career Peers (Will be back in the Fall!)

Leeds Career Peers run all first-time appointments, from first-years to seniors, in Career Development. Career Peers teach the basics of resume and cover letter writing, and provide guidance on searching for jobs and internships using Career Buffs, our online job board. Career Peers also have many walk-in hours, which are listed below.

First-Year and Sophomores (all emphases/all appointment types) - Sarah Rosenbaum

Sarah meets with all first-year and sophomore students regardless of their area of emphasis to provide more guidance on topics such as internship searching, networking, resume and cover letter writing, interviewing and using Career Buffs. Sarah can also provide help on the career assignments in the BCOMM and BASE classes.

Accounting, Marketing, and Finance Juniors and Seniors - Joan  Fishburn
Finance students will still be able to see Jessica Baumgarten, but they will have to email her for an appointment. She will not be available via TimeTrade.
All Management and Finance Juniors and Seniors - Brooke Lloyd

Denise, Brooke, Jessica, and Joan meet with juniors and seniors who have already completed a first-time appointment and a resume review appointment with a Career Peer. Students should be looking for more specific information pertaining to their area of emphasis in the job/internship search process, in depth career guidance, and/or interview preparation help.

Denise and Jessica work as a team for Finance and Accounting. Students can see either advisor, based on their schedule and availability.

PMP Resume Reviews - Sarah Rosenbaum

All applicants to the Professional Mentorship Program need to have a resume review prior to being matched with a mentor. Appointments with Sarah are listed in the Junior and Senior section of the appointment schedules. Please scroll to the bottom of the list to find the appointments for PMP resume reviews. PMP resume reviews can also be done by Career Peers during walk-in hours.

Business of Sports - Jessica Baumgarten

Jessica meets with all CU or non-CU students interested in learning more about the Business of Sports (BOS) Program or students that are BOS alumni. She can help with application information and program knowledge. She can also assist BOS alumni with their resume/cover letter, interview prep and coaching, networking skills, and job/internship search strategies. To make an appointment for this, make sure to select the "Business of Sports (BoS) - Open to Non-Business & Business Students" appointment type.

Please check back for updated Walk-In Hours.
