Mr. Cushman is Partner and Chief Compliance Officer with Oakwood Real Estate Partners, a Denver based real estate private equity firm. Mr. Cushman is jointly-responsible for fundraising and all real estate investment decisions related to the firm's extensive multifamily, office, retail, office, hospitality, senior housing, and land holdings throughout the US.
Prior to co-founding Oakwood, Mr. Cushman was a Vice President at Oakwood's predecessor, Parkwood Real Estate Partners. Before joining Parkwood, Mr. Cushman was Sr. Vice President of Development for Bancroft Capital. Mr. Cushman began his career with Louis Dreyfus Property Group and its affiliates in New York and California where he worked on the development of Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and office properties.
Mr. Cushman holds an MBA from the University of Denver Daniels College of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Mr. Cushman is on the Board of Directors of the University of Colorado Real Estate Center and the Boy Scouts of America Denver Area Council. He resides in Littleton, Colorado with his wife and two children.
