Francy Milner teaches business ethics and corporate social responsibility at the Leeds School of Business of the University of Colorado at Boulder. In her role as the Associate Director for the Center for Education on Social Responsibility (CESR), she focuses on curriculum development for graduate and undergraduate courses that help students explore their personal values and their assessment of the role of business and business leaders in a global society.
As a member of the cross-campus Committee on Social Entrepreneurship for Equitable Development and Sustainability (SEEDS), Francy has worked with faculty and students to promote social entrepreneurship. She has created a service learning course for juniors and seniors at Leeds called Business Solutions for the Developing World and an MBA class in Social Entrepreneurship in Emerging Markets. Both courses involve experiential learning in which student teams support the work of social entrepreneurs around the world.
Francy is an experienced employment lawyer and corporate trainer and is the former Assistant General Counsel for Legal Compliance at Coors Brewing Company. She has provided consulting services to companies on corporate ethics and compliance programs, compliance risk management and corporate governance through The Milner Law Firm.
Francy is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the board of directors of Friendship Bridge, a non-profit organization that provides microfinance and education for Mayan women entrepreneurs in Guatemala. She has also served on the boards of directors of other two non-profit organizations, The Conflict Center and the Colorado Judicial Institute.
