Carla Bustamante is a Fulbright Ph.D. candidate at the University of Colorado Boulder. Carla has taught entrepreneurship and management at Universidad Adolfo Ibañez (Chile), she was also a member of the Chilean Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) team. Carla's research interests are in the space of entrepreneurship and strategy. Specifically, her research focuses on emerging economies using an institutional theory lens. Her current projects explore how the emergence of a VC industry is affected by the institutional development of a country; the determinants of the adoption of renewable energy innovation policy in developing countries; and the effects of natural disasters on entrepreneurial activity. Carla has presented her research at the Babson Conference for Entrepreneurship Research, Academy of Management conference, Sustainability, Ethics and Entrepreneurship conference, and Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Research Conference.
