Professor Brian Anderson is an Assistant Professor in the Management and Entrepreneurship Division at the Leeds School of Business. Brian completed his Ph.D. in Strategic Management at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, a M.S. degree in Strategic Management from the University of Denver, and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Denver. Before coming home to Colorado, Brian was on the faculty at the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
Brian focuses his research program on strategic entrepreneurship--the development, employment, and consequences of entrepreneurial strategies within established firms. His research appears in Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Business Venturing, and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal.
In addition to his academic career, Capt. Anderson is an Air National Guard Logistics Readiness Officer with the 140th Wing at Buckley AFB. Before Aiming High with the Air Force, Brian was part of America's Global Force for Good as a Supply Corps Officer in the US Navy Reserve. In prior years, Brian was an entrepreneur, self-professed tech geek, pilot, government bureaucrat and a political hack, although not necessarily in that order. A sixth-generation Coloradan, Brian, his wife, and their three precocious boys currently reside in Boulder.
