Alan Jagolinzer teaches intermediate and advanced financial accounting and International Financial Reporting Standards. His research focuses on executive compensation and incentives, insider trading, and the implications of changes in financial reporting standards and securities regulation.

From 2004 until 2010, Alan served as an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was selected for the 2010 MBA Distinguished Teaching Award and the 2009 Sloan Masters Program Teaching Excellence Award.

Prior to pursuing his Ph.D., Alan served ten years on active duty in the United States Air Force as a T-37 Instructor, Evaluator, and Spin Demonstration Pilot and as an E-3 AWACS Aircraft Commander.
