Leeds Certificates are a great way for students to specialize in a specific area and customize their degree. Certificate requirements can count towards required electives (such as business electives, non-business electives and in some cases, the area of emphasis). See your advisor to discuss how to fit a certificate into your four-year plan. Any of the certificates can be matched with any of the areas of emphasis, so consider your career goals and personal interests when choosing a certificate.

More and more businesses are joining the movement of conscious capitalism by evaluating their success on the “triple bottom line” - their impact on people and the planet, as well as making a profit. Corporations face ever-increasing expectations from consumers, shareholders and society to be more socially responsible. As a result, people leading corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts within their companies are compelled to learn practical best practices that can help deliver maximum value back to their companies and the communities they serve. The Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility is for professionals seeking to further themselves and their companies in the practice of socially responsible business. Whether you are an experienced CSR professional, just starting out in your CSR career, or wanting to make a career change in this direction, this certificate provides an opportunity to further your knowledge, ideas and network.
CESR offers the Certificate in Socially Responsible Enterprise (SRE) to further develop students’ ability to meet these future challenges by crossing the boundaries of traditional functional areas of business and those that separate business from other academic disciplines. Students who complete the certificate will see and understand the social and environmental impacts of business and their ethical implications from a broader perspective. They will also graduate with practical knowledge and marketable experiences that will guide them in conducting business in an informed, responsible, and ethical manner.
Graduates face an increasingly competitive job market where business skills can complement one’s degree and enhance marketability. The CU Business Intensive Certificate (CUBIC) has been refining students’ understanding of business concepts for nearly 20 years.
This three-week, non-credit certification program teaches fundamental business and career development skills to non-business majors. Upon successful completion participants receive a certificate in applied business and a competitive edge in the job market.

The globalization of the marketplace has produced a demand for managers who can successfully compete in the international business environment. Understanding the significant cultural, economic, and political differences between countries and regions is vital to international success. Managers in an international business must not only be sensitive to these differences, they must also adopt the appropriate policies and strategies for dealing with them. The global business certificate builds on students’ understanding of the functional areas of business, provides them with an appreciation of the international environment, and supplies them with a framework for developing policies and strategies appropriate for the global marketplace.

Advances in business knowledge and technology have radically changed business systems and processes—for example, how organizations buy and sell goods and services, integrate their supply chain and logistic systems, and reach or retain customers. As a result, critical to today’s businesses is the ability to get the right information to the right people at the right time, so that both strategic and operational decisions are made properly and quickly. To help students develop this ability, the Leeds School of Business offers the OPIM Certificate.
