Educating current and future values-driven leaders to engage and positively impact ethical, social, environmental and economic challenges.
To be the recognized leader and authority for innovative education in ethics, social responsibility and sustainability.
Founded in 2007, the purpose of the Center for Education on Social Responsibility (CESR) is to advance the Leeds School of Business’ commitment to preparing future leaders to confront social, environmental, economic, and ethical challenges faced by modern business.
CESR infuses values exploration throughout the required curriculum at the undergraduate and MBA levels, and offers cutting-edge electives and social responsibility classes for further ethical development. CESR’s faculty present coursework that helps students develop skills in critical ethical inquiry and evaluate business practices along environmental, social and ethical dimensions. This unique experiential pedagogy challenges students to decide what type of business leaders they will seek to be and the nature of businesses they will run.
