Joongki Ahn

Dr. Joongki Ahn is a senior resarecher ath the Agency for Defense Development in the Republic of Korea. He is currently a visiting schoalr in the Aerospace Engineering Sciences Department at the University of Colorado, Boulder, working in the Busemann Advanced Concepts Laboratory. His research interest include scramjet inlet systems design, combustion analysis, and trajectory analysis.

Research & Work Experience

2006 - Present: Senior Researcher
Agency for Defense Development, Republic of Korea
Working for the Republic of Korea's Agency for Defense Development. Working to design and optimize of supersonic and hypersonic intake systems, preliminary analysis of ramjet and scramjet propulsion systems, assisting for the ground tests for combustion analysis, and performing trajectory analysis and optimization.

2003 - 2006: Graduate Research Assistant
Korea Advanced Institute for Science and Technology
Researched for uncertainty analysis and optimization on multidisciplinary systems. Gained experience on design of high speed propulsion, space launch and reetry systems and on hypersonic aero-thermodynamics.

1994 - 2003: Senior Researcher 
Agency for Defense Development, Republic of Korea
Gained experience on analyziing and integrating intake and jet engine systems; researched design and calibration of air-data systems.
