CU Bill&PaySetting up an authorized payer

Printable Instructions

This process is how parents and/or others (up to five people total) become authorized to view, print and/or pay the bill online through CUBill&Pay. Authorized payers will get e-mail notifications when official bills are available, just like students.

This does not give parents and/or others access to CUConnect, grades, schedules, or anything other than bill information.

This process must be completed by the student:

This process is optional.

  1. Log in to CUConnect. Select:
    • Financial tab
    • Then Boulder Main Campus under Bursar Billing (I don't see Bursar Billing)
    • Then Authorize payers to view and pay your tuition bill (this takes you into CUBill&Pay)

  2. Select Add New.

  3. Enter a name for your authorized payer.

  4. Enter an e-mail address where your authorized payer will receive bill notifications.

  5. Create a case sensitive login name for your authorized payer (must be at least 6 characters, numbers and/or letters). To protect your privacy, do not use your Identikey.

  6. Enter a case sensitive password (must be at least 6 characters, numbers and/or letters).

  7. Re-enter the password to confirm.

  8. Press the Add button. The authorized payer will now display on the Authorized Payers page.

  9. Provide the login name and password you just created to your authorized payer. CU Boulder CANNOT provide this information to them for you.

  10. The authorized payer will get an e-mail with a link to CUBill&Pay.
