CU Bill&Pay
Setting up an authorized payer...

Printable Instructions

Setting up an authorized user in CUBill&Pay is how students can give parents or others (up to five people) access to CUBill&Pay to view, print or pay the bill on the Internet. Authorized payers will get e-mail notifications when official bills are available, just like students.

To set up an authorized user in CUBill&Pay: (this must be completed by the student)

  1. Log in to CUConnect. Select Financial tab, then Bursar Billing, then Boulder Main Campus. Select the Authorized Payers link.

  2. On the CUBill&Pay site, click on the Authorize Payers link again.
There are two links: one for main campus and one for Continuing Education bills.

  3. Select the Add New button.

  4. Review the directions on the Add Authorized Payer page.

  5. Enter a name for your authorized payer.

  6. Create a Login Name for your authorized payer. Login names and passwords are case-sensitive. Do not use "mom" or "dad" or your CUConnect login ID.

  7. Enter a Password. It must be at least 6 characters (numbers/letters).

  8. Re-enter the password to confirm.

  9. Enter authorized payer's e-mail address.

  10. Press the Add button. The authorized payer will display on the Authorized Payers page.

  11. Contact (call, e-mail, letter, etc.) your authorized payer and provide her/him with the login name and password you created.
Note: CU will contact the authorized payer via e-mail with the CUBill&Pay link to log in and view your tuition and fee statement. CU does not contact the authorized payer on your behalf and inform him/her of the temporary password.
