Morning in Iowa: A Unique Musical Fresco of American Landscapes and Dreams

Tuesday, Sept. 18, 7:30 pm Grusin Hall (Imig building)

Join us for the Colorado premiere of Robert Nathan’s narrative poem set to music by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. In the work's 36 scenes, music and poetry gracefully combine to portray a love story that takes us on a colorful journey through immense America, its dreams and its legends. Travel from New England to Iowa and on to Colorado where, under the infinite western skies, jazz and the blues unite with the musical traditions of the Native Americans . . . and of Italy.
