Science on Screen: Total Recall and Terraforming Mars on Aug. 18

Is Total Recall a fantastic representation of future reality? Could humans live and work on Mars without special equipment to keep them alive? The concept of “terraforming” other planets has been around for at least 80 years. Join David Brain, from the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics, on Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Dairy Center for a discussion about what it would really take to “terraform Mars” and a screening of the 1990 sci-fi film, Total Recall. Visit the Dairy Center website for ticket information.
