A Night of Palestinian Hip-Hop with DAM

DAM is the first Palestinian hip hop group and among the first to rap in Arabic. Inspired by the music of Tupac, they use rap to tell their stories and to provide a platform to advocate for programs and opportunities for youth and the community in their neighborhood of Lyd, outside of Tel Aviv. They are touring to promote their new album, Dabke on the Moon, which was released in November 2012, and reflects on the lives of Palestinian prisoners of the Israeli occupation.
