Affordable psychotherapy is available at the Raimy Clinic in the Muenzinger Psychology Building on the CU Boulder campus. Raimy Clinic therapists can provide help for children and adolescents who are struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, ADHD or social and academic difficulties, among other problems. Special low rates are available for children of all full-time CU Boulder students, staff and faculty.

The Office for Outreach and Engagement is currently accepting funding proposals for the 2023–24 CU Boulder Outreach Awards. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Friday, April 14.

The CU Boulder Outreach Awards fund faculty-led outreach and engagement work that connects research, teaching and creative work with public needs and interests.

Book and course material information for fall 2023 is due March 24.

Instructors have received ongoing email communications requesting book and course materials information for fall 2023 courses. As a reminder, campus policy states departments are required to identify what books and other course materials are required (or if a course will have no required materials) for their classes by the day of registration.

Course material information is critical to provide financial transparency to our students during course registration and to help them plan ahead. It is also needed in order for the university to maintain Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEA) and Americans with Disability Act (ADA) compliance (Disability Services needs sufficient lead time to gain access to and prepare books and materials in suitable alternative formats for students who need them). 

Instructors who are not requiring specific books or course materials for a course (and departments with unassigned courses that won’t have required materials) or courses that will utilize open education resources still need to notify the CU Book Store of that fact as soon as possible.

Effective Jan. 23, Oracle changed the license metric for Java SE subscriptions from per-user to per-employee and changed the product name from Java SE Subscription to Java SE Universal Subscription.

The University of Colorado will relocate its enterprise servers to a new, modern facility on the Anschutz Medical Campus in October 2023. This critical data center relocation will be managed by University Information Service (UIS) in collaboration with their campus partners.

UROP is exploring interest in developing a community of practice (CoP) to support undergraduate research and creative work on the CU Boulder campus.

We are recruiting participants for a research study who are fluent English speakers, are over the age of 18, and who are students, staff or faculty at CU Boulder. 

These studies take place at the Center for Innovation and Technology, Room 184G. In this type of study we investigate collaborative problem solving in science, technology, engineering and mathematics domains. In the study you will be working with other participants on a series of group problem-solving tasks.

During the study we’ll be using cameras and microphones to record the interactions you and your group have with one another and with the tasks at hand. We’ll also use eye tracking to measure your gaze patterns during the experiment. Collecting video and audio data of you and your group’s interactions is mandatory for this study. If you do not want to be recorded with video and microphone, you may decide not to participate in this study at any time.  

These studies last 1.5 hours each, and the pay is $25 per hour ($37.50 total). You cannot earn course credit through this study. Please note: International participants are subject to an upfront 30% tax withholding on their payment.

All campus community members are strongly encouraged to download the app, which features tools like a safety timer so friends or loved ones (called “guardians”) can monitor you if you’re walking alone and call for help if you don’t reach your destination at the expected time,
