The Budget & Fiscal Planning
(PBA) is responsible for overseeing campus budget and finances and
provides management information on a broad range of topics, from finances
and personnel to strategic planning, enrollment, and instruction.
The Budget Office within BFP is seeking
applications for a competitive, full-time, paid apprenticeship program
that runs from approximately June 2013 to December 2013.
work in the apprenticeship program will provide an introduction to higher
education administration, non-profit budgeting and finance, data analysis,
and narrative report preparation.
The successful candidate will have
an opportunity to meet and work with individuals responsible for financial
management of the campus, and will receive hands-on training in software
including the Microsoft Office suite and an Oracle enterprise-wide finance
ideal candidate will be a recent or upcoming graduate of
CU-Boulder that has taken a well-rounded liberal arts
curriculum, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater, and has
good critical thinking skills.
This person also should excel in and
enjoy research and analysis-type projects, and writing.
Students of all disciplines,
including humanities and social science majors, are encouraged
submit a completed application and an unofficial transcript by
April 10, 2013 to be considered for an apprenticeship position.
