When your finals end and you’re checking every hour for the posting of your grades, you can now do it through the convenience of your smartphone. Through mobile MyCUInfo you can check your grades, view class schedules and location, book lists and more, all on a smartphone or other mobile device. The schedules, books, and grades you can access in the Student tab of MyCUInfo are presented in a mobile-friendly format so you always have them with you.

New merit scholarship program recognizes outstanding Colorado residents

The university today announced a new merit-based scholarship program to recognize top entering Colorado freshmen for outstanding academic achievement.

What Amendment 64 means for CU-Boulder

As of this week, as a function of the passage of Amendment 64, Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has signed into law the proclamation that legalizes the personal possession of less than an ounce of marijuana in Colorado. The law does not permit public use of marijuana by anyone under any circumstances, and allows possession only for those over the age of 21. Given some of the confusion about precisely what Amendment 64 means for CU, here is what I want people to know.

Brooks: MacIntyre makes winning first impression

It was a whirlwind day for Mike MacIntyre, who was approached by CU, presented a weekend offer and accepted before first setting foot on the Boulder campus. He arrived in Colorado at mid-afternoon Monday, met with CU President Bruce Benson, Chancellor Phil DiStefano and Bohn, then met with his new team for about 35 minutes prior to the press conference. He advised them to “do well on exams, don’t do a double negative – just because you’re down a little on what happened, I’m here to help you move forward.

CU Commute: Networking and trip tracking for off-campus students and staff

The University of Colorado community can now access commuter and carpool resources through CU Commute, a social networking website for University commuters. CU Commute is a platform that networks users by alternative modes of transportation and provides commuter carpooling options. Created through a partnership between CU’s Parking & Transportation Services and the Environmental Center, CU Commute offers resources and incentives for students, faculty and staff who are interested in sustainable transportation.

Research team finds massive crevasses and bendable ice affect stability of Antarctic ice shelf

Gaping crevasses that penetrate upward from the bottom of the largest remaining ice shelf on the Antarctic Peninsula make it more susceptible to collapse, according to University of Colorado Boulder researchers who spent the last four Southern Hemisphere summers studying the massive floating sheet of ice that covers an area twice the size of Massachusetts.

Student printing and scanning improvements coming spring 2013

Leeds student takes 'gaming' to another level

Leeds School of Business student Zhenghua Yang and a team of programmers, artists and game designers melded their passion for video games into Serenity Forge, an independent video game developing company.

Surprisingly, the Boulder based company was created in 2008 while the founders were still in high school, said Yang. Now, team members work remotely, reporting to Yang, who is the head programmer, from establishments around the country such as Stanford University and St. Olaf College.
