Access to clean drinking water is a big challenge in Pakistan, with 16 million people in Pakistan having no choice but to drink dirty water, resulting in 41,000 children dying of diarrhea per year. This project aims to create a Water ATM – an electronic device with a water dispensing unit and a water quality measurement unit. The water dispensing unit will authenticate the user, and measure and record the amount of water dispensed. The water quality measurement unit will measure pH, turbidity, residual chlorine and total dissolved solids (TDS) and generate alerts when the water level falls below a certain point.
