Artworks portray colors that correspond to musical notes

Amy Vanchina, a design studies major and Technology, Arts and Media student in the capstone thesis project course, created a series of artworks (excerpted above), each one a variation of a color, noting that “Isaac Newton discovered that the seven colors on the color wheel correspond to the seven notes in a major musical scale.”

She entitled the series "The Color of Music."
