Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of German Studies

The Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in German Studies, to begin August 2013. The successful candidate will participate in a new PhD program in German Studies and in the following interdisciplinary degree programs: BA; MA; a five-year concurrent BA/MA; dual degree MBA/German Studies MA; and a Critical Theory Graduate Certificate. Candidates with any research specialty in German culture after 1750 will be considered, but expertise in one or more of the following areas is especially desirable: Romanticism, nature and the environment in German literature and thought, Austrian literature and culture. PhD in German or a related field, and native or near-native fluency in German are required. Candidates should have the PhD in hand prior to the start of the appointment.
