Albert Alhadeff

Books: signed a contract with Lang Publishers to translate several essays on 16th and 17th century painters by the Belgian poet and critic Emile Verhaeren. Prof. Alhadeff is also completing the translation of Verhaeren's 1900 book titled Rembrandt. The book's scheduled publication date is 2009.

Lecture: “A Critique of Julian Barne's ‘Raft of the Medusa.’” European Studies Conference, Omaha, Nebraska, Fall 2006.

New courses/experimental courses: with a small group of students taught a seminar at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on French Nineteenth Century Painting, with visits to MOMA and the Frick Collection, July 2007.

Awards: an International Travel Grant from GCAH to conduct research for a book project that examines classicism in medieval Lyon.

Chuck Forsman

Exhibitions: Chuck has been working in an exhibition touring China, entitled: "Out West." Melanie Yazzie

Two portfolios of prints titled: “Pocahontas Meets Hello Kitty” and “Exotic Plant Animals and People.” The first portfolio has 38 artists from around the country and several international locations and the second portfolio has 18 artists from the USA and one from Ireland. The works were curated by Yazzie and presented at the 2007 Impact 5: International Printmaking Conference at the Kumu Art Museum October 17-20, 2007 Tallinn, Estonia.
