Faculty Positions

Associate Professor, Painting and Drawing
The Department of Art and Art History at the University of Colorado, Boulder seeks a faculty member in Painting and Drawing, to be appointed at the level of tenured Associate Professor, to begin August 2008. This person will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses (two classes per semester), conduct an active program in research and creative work, and provide normal service to the department/university. An MFA is required with a minimum of seven years full-time university teaching experience beyond graduate school. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. We are looking to enhance the diversity of the department as well as the university, and encourage applications from those with multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary perspectives.

Assistant Professor, Art History - Contemporary Art
The Department of Art and Art History at the University of Colorado at Boulder seeks a specialist in contemporary art for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor to begin in the fall semester of 2008. We are especially interested in candidates with an international component to their teaching and research. Preference will be given to those with Ph.D. in hand, as well as teaching experience and publications. This position is supported by extensive library resources, funding opportunities to support research, and a large community of scholars and artists in allied disciplines. Teaching load is two courses per semester, with opportunities for curriculum development in our undergraduate and M.A. programs.
