Donating to the Anthropology Department

Please consider making a donation to support the Department of Anthropology. Your contribution is very much appreciated and will go toward supporting scholarships and awards to many of our worthy graduate students and the department as a whole. The University of Colorado is a public institution that receives little support from the state of Colorado. The state of Colorado ranked 48th (near the bottom) in the nation in per-student funding for higher education in 2011. If you have the time, spend some of it browsing our website to see if you would like to help us continue studying, teaching and researching the many exciting topics in Anthropology. Gifts of any size are greatly appreciated.

David Breternitz Endowment for Archaeological Field Research Fund: Click Here to Give Now!

The David Breternitz Endowment for Archaeological Field Research fund was recently established in his honor by his friends to support graduate student fieldwork in the Southwest. David Breternitz’s career at the University of Colorado consisted of a great deal of fieldwork in the Fremont, Mesa Verde, and Dolores districts and in various parts of Africa. In 3 seasons in the Fremont, 13 summers at Mesa Verde, and 8 more at Dolores, Breternitz trained hundreds of future academic, federal, and contract archaeologists. He reached many others as MC of the SW at the Pecos Conference. Your generous gift will contribute to this fund.

Thank you for supporting the Anthropology department here at CU.
